Daniel Pipes, who will be speaking at UC Irvine on May 8, reports that the US Government has sent 140,000 tear gas canisters to Egypt for use in crowd control.

That, of course, means that we are supporting Mohammed Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood government against those who are protesting the Islamist rule, both persecuted Coptic Christians and Muslims who feel that Morsi is betraying any hopes of true democracy in Egypt. In my view, President Obama is aligning himself with a despotic, Islamist tyrant against those who seek true freedom.
And meanwhile, here at home Janet Napolitano's Department of Homeland Security has purchased over one billion rounds of ammunition-for what, I ask? Is it because she fears that those dangerous right-wingers and war vets are going to storm the Capitol and White House-or she simply wants to take them off the market, so ordinary citizens can't buy them?
