David Wood's Reaction to Boston

David Wood is a counter-jihad activist who runs the website, Answering Muslims. He has made a series of videotaped talks on the topic of Islam.

In the below videotape, Wood makes reference to a sura in the Koran that was quoted by Imam Nasser Wedaddy speaking at this week's memorial service in Boston. Keep in mind that Wedaddy was chosen to replace Imam Suhaib Webb of the Islamic Cultural Center of Boston (Roxbury) by Governor Deval Patrick. The reason was not disclosed, but Patrick knows full well the controversy surrounding the Islamic Center of Boston  and its links to the Muslim Brotherhood, Yusuf al Qaradawi, Abdurrahman Alamoudi and Tarek Mehanna  (the latter two in US prison on terror charges).

In his speech, Wedaddy quoted sura 5 verse 32 in the Koran, which refers to the idea that if a man kills one person, it is as if he has killed all of humanity and if one saves one person, it is as if he has saved all of humanity. Wood analyzes that verse and links it to the following verse (5-33), which is not so soothing.




So once again, I invite my Muslim readers (and I know you are out there) to comment on Wood's statements. To date, I don't recall ever getting a response to my previous invitations. This is your chance to have an honest debate on this point. What do these verses really mean in your view? If Wood is wrong, where is he wrong? This is a discussion we all must have.
