Boston: No Matter Who Did it, it Was Terrorism

Once again, President Obama has hesitated calling an act of terror "terrorism" in his initial response to the Boston Marathon attack. After certain commentators took him to task on it, he has since said that the FBI is handling this case as an act of terrorism.

No kidding.

NBC White House correspondent and MSNBC contributor Chuck Todd has stated  that according to his sources, the White House had made a conscious decision (initially) not to call the attack, "terrorism".

Shades of Ft Hood, which is still officially classified by the military as "workplace violence".

It matters not whether the Boston attack was the act of another Tim McVeigh or an attack by Islamic jihadists; it is still an obvious act of terror. These semantic games are not helping us. If we cannot identify what it is we are fighting against, how can we be expected to defeat it?

It is an act of terror-period. Now we need to find out who did it.

The Authorities investigting the Boston terror atack have identified the explosive IED as a "Pressure Cooker" bomb. This is a signature Al Qaeda device used numerous times in Afganistan by radical islamists. Here is a link to the article regarding the Inpire magazine (published by the AQAP) piece showing how to build the bomb.
