We in the West ignore the events in Egypt at our peril. Together, the Western powers should send a united message to Egyptian president Mohammad Morsi that he and his country are not acting like our friends and that we will draw the necessary conclusions.

In other words, he and his country can go to Hell.

Not his country Gary. The Copts are Egyptians. So are those who voted against Morsi. And many who voted for him simply didn't want Mubarak's security chief as president.
