DHS Debacle: Thousands of Illegal Aliens Released
Janet Napolitano 2010 Fousesquawk Jerk of the Year
The news out of Homeland Security gets worse. It wasn't just a few hundred illegal aliens who were relased onto the streets by Janet Napolitano's ICE. It was 2,000 with another 3,000 slated for release. And poor old Napolitano says she knew nothing about it. And the reason? The prospect of budget cuts in the wake of the coming sequester.

Words cannot describe how feckless and incompetent this woman is. And she could not be in a worse position. This is who is responsible for our security. It just boggles the imagination. One could call for her resignation, but that won't happen. Obama has her back. It was probably the White House who told her to do it.
Oh, I forgot. She didn't know anything about it. That means Obama should fire her for gross incompetence.
But he won't.
Because this is what the Obama administration is doing by design. They are dismantling this nation brick by brick. How else do you explain this action? How else do you explain Operation Fast and Furious? How else do you explain Benghazi? How else do you explain Obamacare? How else do you explain the appointments of boobs like John Brennan and Chuck Hagel to such sensitive positions? How else do you explain our unwavering support of the Muslim Brotherhood as they install an Islamic government in Egypt while persecuting its Christian minority?
In the height of the Cold War, the Comintern could not have planned the destruction of the US as ingenuously as what we are seeing happen before our very eyes.

You Republicans are such two-faced liars.
You want Homeland Security, you find the revenue to fund it.
If the money just isn't there, don't complain that the government doesn't do what it can't pay for.
A prime, perfect example of waste/inefficiency, and why government spending not only can but should be reduced rather than only having its growth slowed.
We spend a lot of time and money, and put dedicated law enforcement officers at risk (my son is one of them), to catch these people. Then we spend more to incarcerate them. Then we release several thousand of them back into the population. Then, at some future date, we will spend even more time and money, and again put officers at risk, to catch some, probably most, of these same people again, and then spend even more to incarcerate them when we had them in custody in the first place. Makes absolutely no sense to me.
To make it even worse, these people were released even before the “cuts” officially went into effect. Although it did not happen (and yes, I understand “if dog rabbit”), a solution could possibly have been found which would have obviated the necessity for this action, and DHS could have had the decency and common sense to hold off until whatever was going to happen happened.
As it is, we had several thousand illegals released back into the population when there was still, at least “officially”, sufficient funding to hold them. If this is not the epitome of monkey motion, gross incompetence, and arrogance, I don’t know what is. It is also, unfortunately, SOP for the tone and direction of Obama, et al.
elwood, didn't you hear what John Boehner has been trying to tell us? We only have enough money to chase them down. We don't have enough money to incarcerate them. Spending is the problem. There will be no more discussion of revenue.
No high-paid corporate executive really wants to pay higher taxes to get control of our borders anyway. They need the cheap labor. They will, however, give to the National Right to Work for Less Foundation, to make sure their cheap labor doesn't have the benefit of a union paycheck, and that nobody else will either.
