Those lefty professors are even in West Virginia. In this case, it is Stephanie Wolfe, a political science professor at West Liberty University in West Virginia and Little Miss Muffit look-a-like. She has instructed her students to avoid Fox News. It's actually on her syllabus.

This morning on Fox (don't cringe), Megan Kelly was interviewing the president of WLU. She stated that Wolfe had denied telling her students not to use Fox as a source and pointed out that it was, indeed, on the syllabus.

She didn't say her students shouldn't watch it. She said they can't use Fox News as a credible source to document facts in written class work.
Sounds reasonable to me. Most professors don't allow Wikipedia as a source either.
Anyone who calls this little mouse "leftist" doesn't know what REAL leftists in West Virginia are like. Google "Blair Mountain." When West Virginia goes left, they do it in fine Second Amendment style -- resisting tyranny, and all that. Oh, and seceding from the State of Virginia. I don't think most professors are up to work of that magnitude.

I note she didn't tell her students not to reference MSNBC.
Maybe that was so laughable it wasn't even considered... or maybe it was somewhere down the list. You only covered two items.
The more a media outlet's content consists of opinion and commentary, the less it should be relied on for substantiation of facts stated in a work product.
