Right to Work in Michigan

"Whaddaya means youse don't wanna join da union?"

Below is an e-mail I received from the National Right to Work Committee regarding a pending right to work bill in Michigan.

Gary,

Did you hear the exciting news coming out of Michigan Thursday?

Right to Work cleared the Senate and a final vote is set for Tuesday in the House!

And Governor Snyder publicly pledged to sign the bill if it reaches his desk.

So please take a moment to read Mark's email below about what you can do to help make Right to Work the law of the land in Michigan.

Sincerely,

Sheila

Dear Sheila,

Freedom is on the march in Michigan.

On Thursday, the Michigan Senate voted to pass both Private Sector and Public Sector Right to Work laws, and a final vote is set for Tuesday in the House.

While no vote can be taken for granted, the Governor announced that if Right to Work reaches his desk, he will sign it and make free choice for workers the law of the land in Michigan.

This is BIG NEWS!

Michigan has long been a stronghold of forced unionism, and a posterchild for the horrors of unchecked union-boss power.

And Big Labor's reaction has been predictably ugly: Storming the legislature. Shoving Right to Work supporters. Cutting down pro-Right to Work signs.

And the goon squads are just getting started.

If you remember the hard-fought battles for Wisconsin's government-sector monopoly bargaining reform and Indiana's Right to Work Bill, you know how ugly the union thugs can make it to protect their ill-gotten power.

Fortunately, Big Labor's bully tactics so far haven't been able to overcome the fact that an overwhelming majority of Michigan's citizens support Right to Work.

You can lend a hand by forwarding this email to friends, family, and other like-minded citizens you know in Michigan.

Encourage them to urge their State Representative not to back down to Big Labor's intimidation.

Michigan citizens can email their State Representative by clicking here.

Please also feel free to call anyone you know in Michigan and direct them to this link:

You can also post it to Facebook, Twitter, and other social media.

Michigan took a big step forward for liberty on Thursday, but the battle isn't over yet.

Please take action and stay tuned.

Sincerely,

Mark Mix

Of course, I am always ready to help those who are fighting the union goons, so I am pleased to put this up.

Jeez, it took Michigan 50 years of Democratic rule and the loss of over half the population in Detroit to learn their lesson. Hopefully, the country won't have to go through the same devastation before they also wake up. Redistribution doesn't work. It didn't work in the Soviet Union, in Cuba, in North Korea, etc., etc., or anywhere else it has been tried.

Only the new Republican Governors are turning their states around from deficits to surpluses. You would think the Libs would notice that or even the press. Then again it is not newsworthy or rather not helpful to the Democratic Party.
