This past Sunday, I attended a forum at the Islamic Center of Irvine, in which a panel of educators and PTA types were explaining the need to pass ballot measures that would raise taxes and pour more money into our failing education system-as if we didn't already. Larry Agran, who is effectively the Boss of Irvine, said that if people who don't want to pay more taxes want to move to Mississippi, Alabama or Texas, they are welcome to leave. I wish Mr Hanson could have been there.
