“We were sitting around talking about Libya, and we were reading and became aware of reports that the State Department refused extra security for our embassy in Benghazi, Libya, prior to the attacks that killed four Americans. Who was it that denied enhanced security and why?” an audience member asked Obama during the debate.
-Question asked of President Obama at last night's debate.
After the debate last night, Daily Caller asked DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Obama aide David Plouffe about the response of President Obama to the above question.

The problem is that the President clearly failed to answer the specific question. He only talked about what he and his administration are doing after the attack.

Indeed, the President did fail to answer the specific question. That doesn't distinguish him negatively from his opponent, the oily Mittens Romney, nor from the general pack of politicians or presidential candidates. Its standard practice in presidential debates and other town hall meetings.
However, it would have been REALLY refreshing to have seen President Obama take the opportunity to be different, and start with a direct answer.
Another missed opportunity.
