Hot tip Hot Air

Hilda Solis

The Department of Labor is announcing that the latest jobs report may be delayed.

Keep in mind that Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, a political appointee, was a big union supporter before Obama brought her to Washington. This would not surprise me in the slightest assuming the news is bad. Why not hold off until after the election?

Nobody votes based on the latest statistics. People vote based on how they FEEL the economy is going. You know, like Ronald Reagan said at an inauspicious time, "If your neighbor is out of work, we're in a recession. If you're out of work, we're in a depression."

Delay in the numbers MIGHT (if they are bad) leave Gary Fouse with one less number to crow about. But its very unlikely to change the outcome of the election. People already know how they feel about the economy, and no good or bad numbers will make them feel different.
