Vincent Gioia in FSM: "Stop the Appeasement"

Here is my take on this article. We are the victims here. We are not the haters. The haters are those who are rampaging against our missions in the Middle East, Pakistan and North Africa. In virtually all of these countries, non-Muslim minorities are being persecuted and driven out. It is time to stop apologizing and appeasing. Christians and Jews see their religions disparaged every day. They do not riot and commit atrocities in response.

We have nothing to apologize for. First of all, that darn video is just an excuse for the acts that were coordinated and planned to "commemorate" 9-11. Even so, offensive expressions are the price we pay for a free society that protects freedom of expression. It also protects certain US Muslims who go around US campuses making offensive comments about America and Jews (Amir Abdel Malik Ali, Abdul Alim Musa, and Mohammed al Asi to name a few).

And no, we are not going to take away our freedom of speech to make anyone happy.
