Davidson University Bans Chick-fil-A

It was only a matter of time. Now the first US university has banned Chick-fil-A. That dubious distinction goes to North Carolina's Davidson University. Newsmax has the report.

"The Davidson College Union Board is firmly committed to building an inclusive community that serves each member of our student body."

(Excluding those, of course, who believe that marriage is between a man and a woman.)

Here is an interesting newsflash:

To make a good salary you DO NOT have to attend University!

Some of the best paying jobs are in Welding, Plumbing, Diesel Mechanics, etc... These jobs do not need a college education and pay better than most graduates make in a lifetime.

BTW, a good trade school costs are free. They are usually High Schools. No loans involved.

Private university, right? If so, like Hillsdale, they can set any policies they choose.

Findalis makes a good point though. College education is greatly over-rated. If you want to learn something best taught by a college, by all means. Otherwise, get a job that pays well, and take more vacations than professors get.

NC lady here. Republicans pulled a fast one and got the constitutional amendment put on the republican primary ballot instead of the General election ballot. If everyone had been voting there would have been a good chance it would not have passed. Thanks, Martha.
