In case you didn't hear, former UN General Secretary Kofi Annan has resigned from his current task of bringing an end to the killing in Syria. I guess there wasn't enough money to be made by him and his son. Note how he blames others for his most recent flop. (His last flop was as secretary general of the UN.)

Well, what'cha gonna do now, you feckless UN? You could always send Lady Ashton to Syria. Or how about Jimmy Carter or Hillary Clinton? Kofi said it best. "The world is full of crazy people like me."

I propose Gary Fouse. I'm confident that Gary could bring Bashar Assad and his entire coterie to the table with the Free Syrian Army and work out a peaceful reconstitution of the Syrian government, which all parties would scrupulously honor. I'm confident Gary could do that, because otherwise, as a man of honor, he would hardly think to deride Kofi Annan for failure to do so.
