White House spokeshole Jay Carney repeated the line that the Bush administration started the Fast and Furious business, and that the Obama administration ended it, which is a lie.

And of course, the old line about we should be concentrating on construction jobs, low mortgage interest rates, the economy, health care, child care, lawn care, pet care, etc.

As for the White House decision to exert executive privilege, why did they do it yesterday and not several months ago when these subpoenaed documents became an issue of contention? Up until yesterday, Eric Holder was trying to negotiate the release of certain documents (which he would of course, choose). Then suddenly, it's Obama exerting executive privilege.
"Carney denied that the White House was hiding documents to avoid political damage, and said he is merely protecting presidents from current and future unconstitutional prying by members of Congress."
"That was my line."
