This story should not have lasted as long as it has, but Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizaberh Warren aka Little White Dove just keeps making it worse. Now she admits that she supplied information to Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania that she was part Native-American (1/32).

Oh please. One-thirty-second Cherokee?
In my family, my Dad told me once that his mom (my grandmother) had a grandmother who was Italian nobility. I have no idea who she was or whether it's true or not, nor do I much care. After all, it is nothing that's going to help me on my resume. Too bad she wasn't a Native American; I could be an associate dean at UC Irvine by now instead of a part-time teacher and full-time pest.
My math is not so great, but you can't tell me that having a great-great-great-great whatever (whom you cannot identify) has any significance on your self identity. Little White Dove has turned a blip on the radar screen into a blimp on her front lawn. She has made herself look ridiculous. In addition, she has used this piece of family lore to further her academic career as a "minority."
