Three cheers for the Supreme Court (at least for 5 of them) in handing down a defeat for the SEIU in California, which was taking out extra funds from members paychecks to fight two anti-union ballot measures in California. Hot Air has the happy news.

This brings back fond memories of last year when I attended a presentation by UC Irvine law professor Catherine Fisk and SEIU Riverside boss Steve Matthews, who tried to explain to an enraptured audience how government sector unions had no impact on California's budget crisis.
