Occupy Chicago off to a Fast Start

Hat tip Daily Caller

"The three who remained in custody apparently came to Chicago late last month to take part in May Day protests. Relatives and acquaintances said the men were wanderers who bounced around as part of the Occupy movement and had driven together from Florida to Chicago, staying with other activists."

Chalk up three more people that Nancy Pelosi can bless for speaking truth to power. Chicago's Finest, not even bothering with the corrupt Department of Justice, have arrested three Occupy types for conspiring to flood the city with Molotov cocktails.

 "God bless them."

Not so fast, Nancy. These guys were so far off the chart, two of their intended targets were Rahm Emanuel and Obama's campaign Hqs.

According to the news reports, this was a complicated and convoluted web of a conspiracy. Apparently, the three enlisted two others to venture forth and purchase gasoline, beer bottles and rags and deliver them to their Southside digs, where they were arrested upon taking delivery. The defense lawyer is claiming foul saying that the latter two were apparently snitches. If only today's ATF was capable of conducting such an intricate controlled delivery.

"I don't think that's funny."

Anyway, had it not been for the actions of Chicago's Finest, who knows what mayhem might have struck the Second City?

1968

Presumably, had the plot succeeded, the three defendants would have assembled the Molotov cocktails (or had the snitches do it for them) and used their strong arms to heave them at their intended targets.

"Sign 'em up!"

(Last place Cubs pitching coach Chris Bosio (l) paying one of his frequent visits to Carlos Marmol, soon to join the Occupy protestors.)

Meanwhile, President Obama, convening with European leaders at Camp David and trying to save the Spotted Euro, had no comment. There are reports that NATO is considering bringing more than just officials to Chicago for the NATO summit-like their consolidated armies, for example.

"Hey Pierre! Try not to hit Wrigley Field, would'ja? We don't want any collateral damage."

That's what local police are supposed to do. We don't want the big bad federal government sticking its nose into every local police decision, do we? Small government! Local control!

I congratulate you, though, on refraining from celebrating that these anarchists plotted to bomb Obama campaign headquarters. I had almost thought that you might approve.

Surely Eric Holder would have a conflict of interest? I mean, its his boss's campaign headquarters. He really can't make an objective decisions. Leave it to the local cops.

I suppose their "targets" would have been the nearest Starbucks and Abercombie & Finch.
