Jewish Federation in Indiana Disgrace

As if we don't have enough problems out here in Orange County with the local Jewish Federation. Here comes (courtesy of Frontpage Magazine) an outrageous story about how the Jewish Federation in Indiana decided that a Holocaust/anti-Semitism speaker would be too offensive-to the local Muslim Student Association. This is typical. It is typical of academia, and it is typical of the Jewish Federations (which are somewhat autonomous in different regions). The problem is that in most parts of the world, including Europe, modern-day anti-Semitism is strongest within the Muslim communities. In Europe, which is seeing a new violent wave of anti-Semitism, young, male Muslim immigrants are the major perpetrators. A lot of it has to do with the Israel issue, but a lot of it is based on theology as well.

But we can't talk about it, can we? That would offend the sensibilites of some here in America who don't want to address what their co-religionists are doing to religious minorities in other parts of the world. We cannot talk about Nigeria. We cannot talk about Mumbai. We cannot talk about Toulouse. No, here we must only talk about "Islamophobia" (however you care to define that word).

Shame on the Jewish Federation, and shame on the politically-correct Purdue University at Calumet.
