Ah yes, the good old days. Today's edition of the Erlanger Nachrichten (Erlangen's daily newspaper) has a story about a drunk guy in front of a bar who tried to take on the local gendarmes. You see how far he got.

This, of course, reminds me of fond memories when I was a young MP in Erlangen policing the American troops, who are no longer there. The old GI bars are now frequented by Germans, but it looks like things haven't changed much.
