UN Official Calls for Investigation into Afghanistan Koran Burning-and Punishment

UN Special representative for Afghanistan, Slovak diplomat Jan Kubis is calling for the US troops who inadvertently burned Korans at a US air base to be punished.

Apparently, in Slovakia, punishment is pre-ordained when an investigation is initiated. Or as the old English proverb goes, "Guilty until proven innocent."

So my question to Mr Kubis would be this: Assuming the burning was, indeed, inadvertent and there was no intent to insult anyone, what should the punishment be? What do you want done to the troops involved? Does Mr Kubis also want an investigation into and punishment for the murders of American troops and officials in response to this incident?

Keep in mind this is the same UN that cannot even pass a resolution condemning the Syrian government for the on-going slaughter of its own citizens. Just another example of why the US is wasting its time and money on this useless organization.
