The below article from the Daily Mail tells of the ordeal of one Jewish family in Manchester, England.
Note: The reference to yobs is a Briticism that means young male thugs.

This is pretty much what we see throughout Europe now in the wake of the Toulouse killing. Jewish schools that have to be guarded. Last week, Jewish centers, synagogues and schools in New York were placed under guard due to the massacre in Toulouse. Much like the 1930s, Jews are leaving Europe, and for good reason. Most are emigrating to Israel. Strange that we don't see any push in the US to invite these people here-as we do refugees from other countries torn by war or persecution. In the 1930s, the US actually turned away a ship (the St Louis) filled with Jewish refugees from Europe. The boat had to return to Europe and most eventually died in the Holocaust.
What have we come to? Or should I say, "What have we come back to?"

Thanks for highlighting anti-Semitism in my hometown of Manchester. My beloved uncle was Jewish and was part of the close knit Jewish community in Manchester. My aunt and u cle were relatively happy couple living in Manchester and thrived in this city.
Having said that, I can't forget when I visited them in 1982. We were happily talking in the car, my uncle driving and laughing when we passed a cemetery and spray painted 10 feet high on a wall surrounding the cemetery was a crude swastika. My aunt ceased speaking and turned from me and looked at my uncle. Where minutEs before he was cheery, now he sat stone faced ,eyes only on the road ahead. I felt sorry for the couple who during world war two had braved the bombs dropped on Manchester by Hitler's forces, who during the war feared what their future would be if Germany won the war.
the undercurrent of anti-Semitism is stirred to the surface by those who blame their own deficiencies on anti-Semitic conspiracy theories. And I find it extremely repulsive that California's academis at the university level fete rabid, anti-Semitic speakers. These same universities would not allow white supremacists to,hold court at our UC system, o why the differential/preferential treatment for the Muslim speakers who spew only hate about Jews and Israel.
