Rodge Glass has written an article in the Guardian about the problem of anti-Semitism in Manchester, England. Though he skirts around the question of who is responsible, his readers do not. You need to read the comment thread.

It is clear that most of the readers who have weighed in blame anti-Semitism chiefly on the Muslim population. Whether that is the case or not in Manchester, I can't say for sure since I have never been there, nor to the UK since the 1980s. Certainly, there are neo-Nazis and skinheads who fit into that category. The English Defense League has been accused of having anti-Semitic elements, which they deny.

Here is another article on the Manchester situation by the Belfast Telegraph. Other than one anecdotal case, there is no mention of perpetrators.

Surely, there are decent Muslims in Manchester who would like to speak out and say it isn't so, or that these charges are only appropriate for a minority within their community, or that they are exaggerated. It might also be that there are some who are speaking out within their community and condemning it.

At any rate, the above article has stimulated a discussion among the readers. That is a healthy sign that somebody is paying attention.
