Hypocrisy of the Boycott Israel Campaign

Hat tip to Orange County Independent Task Force on Anti-Semitism

The below article is cross-posted from my friends and colleagues at the Orange County Independent Task Force on Anti-Semitism. It points out the sheer hypocrisy of the Boycott, Divest and Sanctions movement directed against Israel.

Of course, this whole conflict is not about land. It is not about human rights. It is about religion. The Westerners who are doing the bidding of the Palestinian activists are the modern day equivalents of "useful idiots". They completely ignore the routine human rights violations of the Arab world and the killings being carried out in the name of "Arab Spring" as they castigate Israel, a state facing an existential threat to its very existence.

The conflict between various Arabian ethnicities and Israel is about land. It is not about religion. It is not particularly about human rights either. It is about land.

That is the key to discrediting the jihadis. Israel could not, of course come to a settlement with any Arab or Palestinian entity prior to 1967, nor in the immediate aftermath of the 1967 war, because there was nobody across the firing lines willing to deal.

But, once it was clear that Israel was not going away, if Israel had settled the land question in the 1980s or 1990s, there would never have been an al Qaeda. Religion is merely the latest cloak, or dagger, resorted to in grappling over land.
