Another Example of Gratitude

Here is another story designed to warm your heart. You know how it goes. US sends troops to save the people of another country. In addition, thousands of the country's citizens are brought to the US for safe haven. Grateful refugees show their gratitude by.....

planning terrorist attacks against the US.

Of course, according to this guy's friends and fellow mosque members, it is all one big misunderstanding.

From Miggie,

"Hmmm, Ysen Sherifi, ....Amish?

Wait! In the very last paragraph it says, "Hysen Sherifi and others arrested in the terrorism conspiracy were members of the Islamic Association of Raleigh, the largest Muslim congregation in the Triangle. Several members of the mosque also routinely made the 4-hour round trip for the trial in New Bern to support the
accused, who they described as innocent men being railroaded by overzealous federal authorities."

In what country in the world has EVERYONE ever unanimously held a consistent, unified political opinion on ANYTHING. One third of the population in the American colonies were loyal to King George. The ingrates didn't appreciate the sacrifices made by patriots to secure our independence. Undoubtedly those you refer to were not grateful in the first place. Nothing in foreign affairs should ever be done because we expect gratitude.
