Hat tip to Gallia Watch for posting a beautiful version of O Holy Night (O Helga Natt)in Swedish by the great Swedish tenor Jussi Bjorling (1911-1960). I have studied Swedish, and frankly, don't consider it the most beautiful language to listen to, yet this version is great. This song and Silent Night, in my opinion, are the two most beautiful Christmas carols. I am putting up the article link because it has biographical information on Bjorling (Sorry, I don't know how to add the diacritical marks while blogging.)

Merry Christmas Gary!
(I prefer "The Holly and the Ivy.")
And Dec 26, to the heirs of John Ball, is the day for the traditional "Hunting of the Wren."
