Last week, I put up a post on the subject of Eric Holder playing the race card in his self-defense of the allegations surrounding him and the DOJ over Fast and Furious.
Well, I guess I was wrong, at least according to the statement put out by the DOJ as reported by Greta van Susteren of Fox News.
So, in the interest of fair and balanced reporting, I want to show you DOJ's statement coupled with what Holder originally said, and if we all owe Mr. Holder an apology, so be it.
What the DOJ statement omits are these words,
"This is a way to get at the president because of the way I can be identified with him, both due to the nature of our relationship, and you know, the fact that we are both African-American."
No apology is warranted here. What Mr. Holder does not realize or will not admit is that he is only identified with Obama because, first of all, he is Obama's appointee, and secondly, there is a basis to suspect that the president also had a role in Fast and Furious.
It is not because you or the president is black, Mr. Holder; it is because this Fast and Furious mess is a major scandal, and that both you and the White House have been hiding the details.

Hmmm,
"The DoJ clears Holder of playing the race card". This is sort of hearing CAP declaring and clearing George Soros of anti-Semitism.
The race card game, as I have stated before, is a Saul Alinsky rule, from "Rules for Radicals". Also, please note that this play will be a major "talking point", exercised by the Democratic operatives. I would bet large money on this.
I just hope that the contenders for the 2012 election do not fold under the pressure of the "Race Card" accusation.

By now the Race Card is worn out and dull.
This Administration has played it so often that it has no worth, no merit.
That is most likely true for you Gary. But grow up, there are millions of Americans who continue to choose to think of themselves as "white," and really don't like those considered "black." Most of them vote Republican, because they feel more at home there, since circa 1968-1973 (hint, hint, wink wink). Those who share that motivation attack anything Obama or Holder do, in part because of their African descent.
Not EVERYONE who rabidly criticizes the administration is racist. But there are a fair number in your company who are. Holder wasn't playing a card, he was observing one salient fact.
