Can't make this stuff up, foilks. Should a French slaughterhouse be forced by the authorities to remain open on Sunday? That is the question the town of Narbonne is wrestling over. I have to admit that this story has some depressing aspects to it if you love animals. (Viewer warning.)

Thankfully, it appears the slaughterhouse will remain closed come November 6 as the lady who runs it is refusing to buckle under, and so far, she is supported by the local government. Let's hear it for small government!
