OCCUPY San Diego on Black Friday

Hat tip Human Events and Free Republic

The below link is from Human Events. No, the little rascals from Occupy San Diego not only forced Wal-Mart shoppers to listen to their juvenile chants, they also left 75 shopping carts full of items for the real workers to re-shelve.

If I had been management I would have locked the doors, brought them upstairs to where they bring the shoplifters and beaten them silly.

Employees appreciate any source of overtime during the holiday season.

I can't count the number of jobs where I tried to stretch out the time as long as possible because I needed the money. That's what capitalism does to employees of employers.

Findalis: If you had, you would be going to jail instead of to Israel.

This is a typical left wing campaign. It is incoherent, chaotic, and executed incompetently. It angers the legitimate shoppers, it makes more work for the employees and doesn't really harm any of the WalMart or Wall Sreet executives they hate so much.

I read a number of the comments after the article. They illustrate the depth of revulsion for the OWS retards. Come election day they will show up as well as all those who believe going to school and going to work is a better strategy than majoring in Vegetarian Studies and complaining that there are no jobs.

This protest brings awareness to customers at Walmart and Walmart employees.

I don't think the message people learned was the intended message.

People like to feel good about themselves while do nothing constructive. I bet the protesters feel real good about themselves.

As John Wooden used to say:
"Never mistake activity for achievement."

Anon1,
Specifically, "awareness" of what???

What, specifically, was the intended message and what was the message they learned????

Personally, I don't think people who go to live in filth in these camps and take charity can feel good about themselves.

Miggie, you should be celebrating. Think of the horror if your enemies were coherent, organized, and competent?

Miggie,

I guess you didn't get my intended message.

The intended message of the protesters was that they are fighting against big multi-national corporations that take away business from small business owners. I think part of their speech said somethign about Walmart underemploying its stores so less income taxes are collected by the state. (I am not really following this but that is my point).

The message the people in Walmart got was that protesters like doing things that make the protesters feel good but these protests aren't really contructive. The protesters make a mistake when they believe that this sort of activity is achieving anything.

Anon1,
I didn't get your message. The problem is that the Occupy message is incoherent and even when you take the time to try to figure out what it is, it is a stupid, uninformed, argument at the core.

First, I certainly agree that they did not achieve anything at WalMart beside angering the employees and other customers.

Next, there is the "take business away from local business" argument. Actually this is not a zero sum game. WalMart also attracts foot traffic from a wider area for small businesses that locate near them. Further, there is a trade-off. Walmart puts X number of small clothing and other stores out of business in the area, but at the same time they provide significantly lower prices to thousand, tens of thousands, of customers. The customers, in turn, have more money to spend on other things. WalMart has a very sophisticated supply chain which provides merchandise more efficiently and economically. I am in favor of all that.

This part about "... Walmart underemploying its stores so less income taxes are collected by the state" makes no sense at all. Income taxes are paid on net income, not number of employees.

The strength of the Conservatives and the Tea Party people is that their shared values are straightforward. Most decisions flow from one or more of these desired objectives:
Lower taxes
Smaller government
Stronger military
More morality.

The Occupy people, Democratic Party, and the left wing world wide have a mishmash of:
Hatred of "Greed" (except for their own greed)
Hostility to business/capitalism
Outrage over unequal life outcomes (instead of unequal opportunities)
Anti-Democracy (without any coherent message on what would replace it.)
Anti-American
Anti-Semitism
A belief that if you destroy stores, block bridges and
roads, and riot that you will gain friends and influence people.
A notion that whoever was stupid enough to lend them tuition and subsistence while they were wasting time in college should be screwed out of the amount owed to them by these filthy ingrates.
Absence of any sense of irony
The list goes on.
