The National Lawyers Guild obtained a court order today in New York trying to stop the city's efforts to evict the squatters from Zuccotti Park. Later, a judge allowed the protesters to return, but without tents and sleeping bags.

In case you didn't know, the National Lawyers Guild was established in the late 1930s as a legal arm of the Communist Party USA. They are still around. Their LA director, a guy by the name of Jim Lafferty, is a big supporter of the Palestinian cause. He has appeared at UC-Irvine at least a couple of times speaking at the Muslim Student Union's annual Israel apartheid week. I know because I was present.
What is that got to do with what's happening in New York? Lafferty is one of the hundreds of protesters who have been arrested by the NYPD.

In case you didn't know, the attenuated shell of the National Lawyers Guild was swamped in the 1960s by an influx of New Left law school graduates who laughed at the Communist Party, and have settled down into fairly comfortable individual life styles in between their celebrity cases. It was never "the legal arm of the Communist Party." That was a core of lawyers who were actual party members. The party didn't entrust defense of the Smith Act defendants to NLG., they depended on Yetta Land (later president of the Independent Jewish Senior Citizens of Berkeley) and Mary Kaufman (a former Nuremberg prosecutor).

allow the great unclean OWS rapists, murders and violence prone Progressives, Marxists and Communists to continue there efforts to shut down Wall Street. This
is pure Saul Alinsky tactics, at its best. Remember, Saul alinsky's son said that Obama was one of the best implementers of his father's radical (Marxist)
efforts to take down the American system. Also remember, That Obama, Reid and Pelosi continue to support this OWS effort. It is my guess that Obama wants this street level, community organizing style effort to distract from "Fast and Furious", the "Solyndra" cash giveaway, bogus Virus vaccination development,
Sun-Solar, stopping the Canada-USA oil pipeline, the Gibson Guitar shut-down and all the other stuff.

Good thing you stopped at "... and all that other stuff" because you could have gone on a long time with illegal, improper, and unconscionable episodes in this promised most "transparent " administration in history.
