Why Are We Funding the Palestinian Authority?

Hat tip to Palestinian Media Watch

If you are upset about that $535 million that our government gave Solyndra, this will really make your blood boil-especially after you read this report from Palestinian Media Watch. You would think that the Palestinian Authority might be grateful for the $460 million we are giving them each year (in the hopes they will make peace with Israel).

Think again.

That'll buy a lot of sweets to hand out the next time the US or Israel is hit with a terror attack.

What kind of perverse logic do the Arabs claim some MORAL obligation to send them anything? They cheer in the streets when we get attacked. In fact they are the ones who attack us. If you Google UN votes you will see they consistently vote against us most of the time.

It is the same "gimme" mentality you see from Leftists around the world.

We should put conditions on all the money we give them.

Only a Palestinian state that has command of its territory can make peace with Israel. Until it is independent enough of Israel to be certain of its own revenues and develop its own economy, it is a worth while investment to enable the prototype of such a state to exist. Israel could have created such a state in 1967, declaring it had liberated the Arab portion of the former British Mandate of Palestine from Jordanian and Egyptian military occupation. But it didn't. Now it is going to be harder.
