Rama Continues to Improve

As my readers know, I have been recieving updates on the condition of Rama, a Palestinian baby who is fighting for her life in an Israeli hospital. Hank Dannecker of OneNewHeart has just sent me this latest encouraging update.

"Dear Friends and Family,

Today Brian and Carmella Swain, Southern Baptist workers and friends of our family visited Rama as volunteers for 1 New Heart. Their update is the good news that we have been waiting for.

“We arrived as they began giving Rama a bath. We asked questions like: How is she? What happens after this? The nurse told us that she was so much better but she still has a way to go. She might be able to leave the intensive care unit in a while, but that could also mean another month. She asked if we wanted to hold her and I said yes immediately. I held her and fed her a bottle and sang to her. She moved around and opened her eyes and looked in my direction. I told her how the Lord loved her and I prayed out loud for the Lord to surround her always with His protection and love. We were delighted to see so much progress since our last visit. I asked the attending doctor about her condition and he told me that she was the strongest baby he had ever seen and after what she had been through, there was no doubt in his mind she would recover and grow. We left crying and praising God and asking for her life to be happy and rich.”
