Qaddafi Killed

Qaddafi killed
Fox News

We have not yet gotten the official confirmation from our own government that Muammar Qaddafi has been killed, which means that nobody has told Intelligence Director James Clapper yet, but it looks like we can pop the corks now.

Right now, my thoughts are with the victims and families of Pan Am 103, which was brought down on Qaddafi's orders. My thoughts are also with the British policewoman, Yvonne Fletcher, who was killed in 1984 by a shot fired out of the Libyan embassy in London, and her survivors.

To me, this was the only reason for the US to commit our military to this venture. Now that Qaddafi is dead, it is time to get out and leave the Libyans to their own devices. Whatever form of leadership they come up with will ultimately not be influenced by us.

Justice was long in coming, and to the extent we contributed, I am pleased. Now it is time to come home.

And you give the Libyan people no credit for the uprising that made this possible? Crass, Gary, really crass.

(But I agree that this is good news).

A mere oversight, Siarlys. Of course I give them credit. It just wasn't my thesis, that's all.

I once worked with a man who said that as a teen in Los Angeles, he went door to door with a friend on the evening of Nov 1 saying "Trick or Treat." When told "Halloween was yesterday" they responded "We're Jewish," and got all the leftover candy.

Am I off topic? Not if you followed Findalis's link.

I got to use that one Siarlys. LOL

The candy reference is in regard that when 9/11 happened candy and cakes were handed out in by Muslims in Judea, Sumeria, and Gaza.

Turn about is fair play.
