I saw Karen Lugo speak before Act for America Saturday night in Carona, California. During her presentation, she mentioned that she had an upcoming article being posted in Townhall regarding New Jersey governor Chris Christie. The governor took umbrage recently when his appointment of a certain Muslim judge was criticized. Not knowing anything about the judge, I had no problem with Christie defending the selection. In the below article, Lugo points out that there were some concerns about this particular appointee.

Christie is correct in standing up to discrimination against Muslims. He is incorrect if he sees no effort in works to insert sharia law into our system. If he has aspirations for higher office, he would do well to educate himself on the problem of radical Islamists in the US and just exactly who they are.

As usual, Lugo is writing with all the maturity of a spoiled brat who didn't get her own way. In fact, Gary ought to use his previously displayed artistic skills to show what Lugo would look like after a spanking. No, don't bother, it would be kind of risque all things considered. But it would be poetic justice.
"Christie’s wrath is being vented on American citizens with legitimate concerns about political Islam and sharia law."
Lot's of self-serving assumptions in that sentence. She says nothing to establish that her concerns are legitimate, or, if legitimate, that they apply to Christie's nominee. Lugo has a knee-jerk reflex anytime a person of the Islamic faith is under discussion. Christie is right to judge each individual on their merits, not to subject people of this or that faith to special scrutiny.
Gary insinuates that this candidate has actually tried to insinuate some sort of Sharia standard into legal judgements, contrary to established American jurisprudence. Evidence for that is nil.
Analogy to Romney's Mormon faith is right on target. He too deserves to be judged on his individual merits (which unfortunately don't amount to much), not on speculation about what the FLDS say their sacred texts and traditions would call for. If I weren't thinking Huntsman would be the best candidate following Obama's second term, I'd give Christie some consideration.
