Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the Nigerian man who tried to detonate his underwear as his plane was landing in Detroit, is now beginning his trial-and making quite an impression on the jurors.

So he wanted to be tried under Islamic law, did he? Then he should have committed his crime in say, Saudi Arabia. (Then he would have had his head cut off.) Fortunately, the judge didn't grant his request. If he had been in London, it might have happened. (It's called Creeping Shariah.)

Only Gary Fouse would triumphantly announce that a motion for trial under Shariah had been (appropriately) denied, and then take this as an opportunity to renew his convenient paranoia about "creeping Shariah." Nobody talking this tripe can even agree on what Shariah is, but whatever it is, they are certain American legislatures are just panting to adopt it.
