Read this article from Fox News and then let's discuss how this move by DOJ/DHS will result in greater security for the US.
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/08/18/obama-administration-to-review-all-deportation-cases/
The unholy alliance of Janet Napolitano and Eric Holder at a press conference August 3.
"Hey Eric, what's the deal with my two agents killed by those guns your ATF agents let walk into Mexico?"
(I made that up.)
So Janet Napolitano, who is masquerading as the head of Homeland Security, says this will "enhance public safety because it focuses the government's efforts on deporting those who pose a threat".
Yet.....
"A team of attorneys and officials will be tasked with reviewing the more than 300,000 cases in the system."
Question: How does it enhance public safety to have a bunch of government attorneys and officials from DOJ and DHS assigned to review 300,000 cases in an effort to overturn certain deportations?
First of all, this is a blatant move to put the DREAM Act into practice without the approval of Congress. Secondly, let's be clear; this is the first step on "the path to citizenship". That means it is an obvious attempt by the Democrats to rush people who will overwhelmingly vote Democratic into citizen status.
I just hope that somebody will track each case overturned by this administration to see how many of them commit future crimes or kill someone.

Doing passively in the administration of the law what congress declined to explicitly mandate is standard practice for presidents of both parties.
There are priority decisions to be made. The resources of the departments concerned will be refocused on those cases that pose a genuine risk to national security, rather than expending taxpayers' money to deport veterans of the U.S. armed forces, and bona fide graduates from American high schools, who were illegally brought to this country as babies and grew up here.
Excellent decision. Thank you President Obama. Pay not attention to that whining from the man with the blog.
Out of 300,000 cases, how many do you think will fit into that category? In fact, I would venture that few such cases are presently being processed for deportation. It looks like a lot of work to find just a few cases unless, they are going to give a pass to everyone not convicted of a crime.
Well, Barry Sotoro came to the U.S. from Indonesia, on a foreign student grant, to go to Occidental college and got to stay.
Squid
I don't know how many cases will fit into that category, and neither do you. They are reviewing 300,000 cases to find out how to make better use of existing government resources while bringing government spending under control.
(Squid, you make Michelle Bachman look intelligent by comparison, and that's a VERY low bar.)
Siarlys,
All that I say is true. Better than your ongoing banal banter. Did you every hear about "Less is more". Your "phylum" is below pond scum.
Squid
Squid, once again you distinguish yourself at colorful invective, without ever offering one ounce of factual foundation. I write at length because you and your clone Miggie need so much instruction in basic history to understand even the simplest statement. Then, you simply refuse to believe it, although you are both allergic to hitting the books and coming up with a well reasoned argument.
P.S. Let's see a facsimile of the "foreign student grant" offered to a native-born American citizen?!?!?!?!?
Siaryls,
A freedom of informtion act order forced Occidental college to reveal the presence of a Barry Sotoro, from Indonesia, at their campus and he was on a foriegn student grant. Now, I will let your fingers do the walking through the internet.
Squid
Squid, either you are a liar, or you've been taken in.

Thank God for the thorough and detailed research of Snopes, given that, as Joseph Stalin said, "Paper will put up with anything you print on it," and you can square that for all the tripe people pass off as "truth" on the internet.
For your sake, I assume until proven otherwise that you are merely gullible, not an agent of the deception.
