Press TV is the English-language media arm of the Iranian government. They operate out of Britain. So now we have the specter of an evil regime and its English-language state media lecturing the Brits on how to act with restraint. In 2009, the Iranian regime was shooting down peaceful protesters in the streets of Tehran and other Iranian cities who were merely demanding more freedom. How many protesters did this monstrous terrorism-supporting regime murder? No one knows. This is the same regime that hangs its homosexuals and persecutes its Baha'i minority. And they urge the British police to use restraint-which, by the way, the Brits are using to a fault.
This is how Iran handles street protests
This is an opportune time to point out two British figures who are employed as commentators and reporters by Press TV. That would be none other than the crazy former MP George Galloway, he of Viva Palestina fame and noted supporter of the terrorists of Hamas and Yvonne Ridley, another journalist-turned all around kook, who supports all kinds of Islamic radicals in Britain and those who want to wipe Israel off the map. I mention those two predominently because they have both appeared to speak at UC-Irvine (where I teach) sponsored by the campus Muslim Student Union.
Here's Ridley imitating a 1958 Cadillac
The 1958 Cadillac Ridley
Believe it or not, Ridley reads my blog. She has commented that I am a "silly, silly man". Perhaps, she has a point.
But don't think that the Iranian regime has friends only in Britain. No Siree; here in the colonies, they also have a great friend in Cynthia McKinney, nutty ex-Democratic Congresswoman from Georgia who just returned from Iran, where she blasted the US. And don't forget that other nut, Neturei Karta rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss, who also visits Iran, kisses Ahmadinejad's posterier, and supports anyone who wants to destroy the nation of Israel.
And what do these four mad-hatters have in common? They have all spoken at my school, UC-Irvine, guests of the Muslim Student Union.

Now this is the pot calling the kettle black. Iran should look to its own human rights violations. The list is longer than a mile long.
Ridley is pretty silly herself. By Iranian standards, Britain should be shooting a few peaceful demonstrators, and God knows what they should be doing to open rioters.
