Fousesquawk's Leave of Absence- Der Berg Ruft!

"All for you, Fousesquawk."

That's right. Today I am leaving for Germany, Erlangen to be exact, where I will be attending the annual beerfest (Bergkirchweih), simply the best beer fest in Germany-and that includes Oktoberfest. Here is what will be going on for the next 12 days.

Below: Daily ox roast. Christian is the day's unlucky fellow.
Kitchen at Erlangen Fair Germany.. (The Bergkirchweih is an annual fair taking place in Erlangen, Germany. Locals nickname it Berrch,...)

Who needs Weenergate?

"I'll be back (maybe)."

Not my cup of tea (neither is tea) but have a good time!

The first photo reminds me of the story about the cowboy who had a pact with his brothers, in Australia and Ireland, that they would drink three beers at a time to remain closer to each other.

Then he and his wife joined the Baptist Church, so he could only drink two beers, for his brothers.

Have a great time and be sure to upload pictures.

I suppose the site will be down except for what you add until you get back.

Funding Source: Gen. Fund = 100%
Total Reduce Level of Service Augmentations Rolled Into Base Budget

costs to HRC.
CEO Recommendation Rolled Into Base Budget
Implementation Date July 1, 2011
Justification Delete two positions (1 Administrative Manager I and 1 Administrative
Manager II) to transition staff from the Human Relations Commission to the
non-profit Human Relations Council with continued base contribution of
$302,000 as approved in the FY 10-11 1st Quarter Budget Report. Support
services in FY 11-12 will be provided through a contract agreement with the
non-profit Human Relations Council.
Reduce Level of Service Augmentations Rolled Into Base Budget
REQUEST DESCRIPTION Delete 2 Human Relations Commission (HRC) Positions
BRASS Serial Number 1767
Where is the savings to the taxpayer? Orange County Board of Supervisors merely swept our $300,000 tax dollars from the Orange County Human Relations Commission to its identical equally evil twin, the Orange County Human Relations Council. We, the taxpayer, must still pay for this dubious commission and its awards to more dubious persons.

So now the BoS has unanimously approved Ochrc. Funny. >There was one supervisor whose chief aide stated they were defintely against it. I wonder what changed his mind. Perhaps >CARE applied some pressure.

It would appear that Fullerton taxpayer is decrying the expenditure of public funds to send Gary to Der Berg Ruft. I can't for a moment believe Gary would do any such thing. He is a man of his word, and has a sense of honor, even if his reasoning goes oft astray. I don't even think that's what Fullerton meant to say. But perhaps this array of random strings, resembling a computer program chewed up by an automatic debugging program, was meant for another post?
