Break Out the Champagne!
I just got home and am hearing the news that Usama bin Laden is reportedly dead-killed by US forces in Pakistan. We are awaiting the President's announcement. All I can say at this point is that this is a huge psychological victory for us. Pending the President's annoucement, congratulations to everyone involved in this operation.
Including President Obama.

Hooray! UBL is dead. Next, Anwar al-Awlaki.
Squid
Piece of candy anyone?
Good job by all involved! I'm happy that they shot him in the head instead of reading him his rights and putting on a trial. I imagine that was Obama's decision. He may have come around to acknowledge that this is a war and just a series of criminal acts.
.
I don't want to celebrate death but am pleased that justice was served.
It is interesting to see the contract in reaction of word of his death from the PA and Hamas.
The PA said this may help the peace process.
Hamas leader Haniyeh said: "We condemn the assassination and the killing of an Arab holy warrior. We ask God to offer him mercy with the true believers and the martyrs."
Very gracious Gary. One of my first thoughts was "I wonder how Gary Fouse will cover this?" A small moment of real national unity.
