Bill Clinton Wants Agency to Stop Internet Rumors

Ya can't make this stuff up, folks. Bill Clinton now is suggesting that the US Government or the UN set up an agency to fight internet rumors.

You know, that is a great idea. Just think of all those internet rumors that have been going around for years.

Remember that internet rumor about some intern in the White House giving oral sex to the President of the United States in the Oval Office?

"Uhhhh,..........yeaaaah."

How absurd was that?

Remember that internet rumor about how the president committed perjury when asked about it under oath?

"Uhhhhh.....yeaaaah."

Remember that internet rumor about some president giving a pardon to some fugitive financier named Marc Rich even while the FBI was trying to catch him?

"Yeh, I did."

Remember that internet rumor about Obama going to some church where the pastor was screaming, "God damn America" from the pulpit?

Of course, I could go on and on and on, but suffice to say that it is time to crack down on all this stuff going around the internet and get back to real journalism.

What Jeremiah Wright said was "God damned America," past tense, descriptive, not "God Damn America," future tense, imprecation.

We already have an agency to deal with internet rumors. Its called snope.com. There are a couple of others too, which is good. Competition helps to keep truth meters honest.
