Hat tip to Orange County Independent Task Force on Anti-Semitism
A group of black students and alumni from historically-black colleges have written a letter that objects to the use of the term "Apartheid" against Israel. The statement says that it is offensive to compare Israel with the true apartheid state of South Africa, and that the term does not accurately apply to Israel. This comes in response to the use of the term by the Students for Justice in Palestine at several anti-Israel events on college campuses (often called Israel Apartheid Week).

Kudos to those students and alumni for standing up and speaking the truth.

Good for them. Let each cause stand on its own merits, rather than wrapping itself in analogy. That also goes for wrapping "gay marriage" in Loving v. Virginia, or the civil rights movement in general, and comparing the pro-life movement to the Underground Railroad. It also goes for Jewish students claiming to be an oppressed minority on American campuses.
