Al Gore Sighting

Hat tip to News Busters

This week, Al Gore surfaced again.......

....(ahem)....this time at some climate change conference in Washington DC. Watch below as he compares the fight against climate change to the civil rights struggle.

(No, that's not Al talking to himself in some house of mirrors.)

I wonder if young Al ever asked his Dad, Senator Albert Gore Sr, why he voted against the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

Al Gore is either a very ignorant man or still being clever by trying to make mega-millions off his defunct "Global Warming" scam. One would think that this guy would stay under his rock and hibernate. OK Al, now that the real scientists are able to express themselves, the smart people understand that there is probably "global cooling" going on. We will not convince the far-left dumdums, but the smart people will understand. Here is the link to what the smart people know and understand!

Al Gore Sr. voted against the Civil Rights Act for the same reason Rep. Al Gore Jr. campaigned on a pro-life platform. They each wanted to be re-elected. Voting for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was not compatible with being a senator from Tennessee. It probably wouldn't be today either.

With both the impetus to pass the act, and the most virulent opposition both located in the Democratic Party, passage depended on how the Republican Party broke.

Today, the Democrats who opposed the Civil Rights Act are the core, the heart and soul, of the Republican Party.

Al Gore makes the usual error of drawing analogies, which is almost always deficient. It is deficient when pro-lifers compare themselves to the civil rights movement, when Palestinians talk about Israeli apartheid, etc. etc. etc.

As to Global Warming being a "scam," that, like many truisms I've seen at this site, is a good example of how, if you repeat something to yourself often enough, you will believe it to be true, and lose sight of the fact that you have no evidence whatsoever to support your contention. It is a way to do perpetrate upon yourself the Joseph Goebbels method: if you repeat a lie often enough, you yourself will come to believe it.

UPDATE: If people like most of those I hear from at this site continue to deny that human industry has anything to do with the increasing global temperature, we can certainly expect to see repeats of the destructive series of tornadoes from Oklahoma to North Carolina, including one hundred or so in North Carolina alone.

Tornado activity tended to die down during the night, and pick up as the warmth of the day added to the power of the whirling winds.

Wake up people, or a REAL blood libel may be upon your heads, although not your children's.
