The Mission! The Mission!
The Swallows know the mission.
Even figure 8 stock car racers know the mission.
Do we know what the mission is in Libya?
President Obama says it's a humanitarian mission.
General Carter Ham, head of US Army Africa region says his mandate is not to target Ghaddafi.
President Obama says Ghaddafi has lost his "legitimacy" and must go.
Did Ghaddafi have legitimacy when he ordered Pan Am 103 to be bombed?
Defense Secretary Robert Gates opposed getting involved.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton convinced Obama to get involved.
If this is a humanitarian effort to keep Ghaddafi from harming his citizens, what about attacking Sudan, Yemen, Bahrain, Zimbabwe and North Korea?
I am confused, but I am not alone. Apparently, everybody from Obama on down is confused.
The pundits on both sides are confused. Fox is confused. CNN is confused. MSNBC is confused.
It seems the only ones who are not confused are the swallows of San Juan Capistrano and the figure 8 stock car racers.
Where are we going?
?

I have complete confidence in the President of the United States. I see quite clearly what the mission is. Further, I've already answered all the questions raised in this post, and Gary just keeps wailing down the road asking them over and over and over again.
From what I've read, people on the ground in Libya understand the mission too, they appreciate the help, and they're pushing Qadaffi's minions back, which was part of the point.
We don't even know who the people on the ground are. This is a civil war in a country of tribes.
How long is this one to last? Are we going to put in a peace-keeping force if and when Gaddafi is removed?
If you see it so clearly, maybe you should be running things.
Maybe I should, but I'm not the president, Barack Obama is. If you don't have any idea what is happening on the ground, maybe you should hold your criticisms.
"Are we going to put in a peace-keeping force if and when Gaddafi is removed?"
No.
