Yet another country in Europe struggles with a restive immigrant population that has no respect for the host country.

Gary, this is a few years old. I don't know if things have changed in that specific school, but you can't blame the kids if the parents don't care, if the Berlin government is inept, and if the German government didn't provide for positive integration programs when these kids came to Germany with their uneducated parents. There is so much wrong in Germany with integration, thanks to the constant guilt trip Germans are on because of their history. I have said it before, Germans are afraid to speak up against foreigners, and you know why. You always bring up Germany's shameful history, do you think the German media is any different? Every frigging day there is something about the holocaust in the papers or on TV. If I am sick of it you can bet the Germans are even more so.
I understand very well. germany feels it should take the lead in standing up to intolerance. Yet, in doing so, Germany is tolerating intolerance. The truth is that the Brownshirts are back in different form. You are not expected to commit suicide.
