Maybe you didn't know but Hillary Clinton was in Brazil over New Years to attend the inauguration of that country's new (female) president, Dilma Roussef. While there, she raised some eyebrows with a little friendly banter with Venezuelan strongman (and friend to numerous Hollywood stars) Hugo Chavez-even though the US and Venezuela have sent each others' ambassadors packing.
The Frenchies also took notice-at least Le Figaro did. They put out this article that implies that Hillary turned off some folks with her imperious manner.

The article implies Clinton arrived late and left early with her own security retinue. It also implies that her behavior showed the narrow point of view of North America toward South America. The title suggests that she was jealous of Roussef's ascension to the presidency of her country.
Now, to be fair to Hillary, I have not been able to find any similar stories in the Brazilian press reports. They only mentioned the Chavez angle.
So did Hillary really do what she usually does, or this just another case of the French being petulant?
I report-you decide.

Gary Fouse reports that he doesn't know what happened, but he never misses a chance to dis Hillary. I generally don't either, but make it straight comic stand up, or hard facts. This neither fish nor fowl act leaves me cold.
As I said, "I report. You decide."
But you don't report. You mention that people who do report say conflicting and insubstantial things. I don't decide anything without data. That's the sina qua non of conservative thinking, which is why I don't consider anyone in the Republican Party right now to qualify as a conservative.
I'll second Siarlys. That's what counts for "reporting" from "conservatives" nowadays. Repeat rumors and accusations as though you're somehow disseminating actual information. Continue this process until the rumors have been repeated so many times that they "seem" like facts.
