From Anaheim today comes this perplexing story about alleged anti-Semitism on the part of the Anaheim Ducks (the hockey team).

(I thought hockey players, when they had a beef, just knocked somebody's teeth out.)
Another thing that perplexes me here is that the owner of the (Anaheim) Ducks is a guy named Henry Samueli-who is Jewish himself. Since I am a Pittsburgh Penguins fan, I only heard of him because he's a big-time donor to UC-Irvine and has his name plastered on some UCI buildings. (Mrs Samueli is or was a member of the Women's Hillel Board at UCI.) Certainly, he would never tolerate anti-Semitism on his team. In fact, I have often wondered what he thinks about the charges of anti-Semitism at UC-Irvine that have been leveled the past several years.
Speaking of the Women's Hillel Board at UCI, a friend and I had been invited to speak to that body several months ago on the topic of anti-Semitism at UCI. I don't know what happened, but it seems the invitation was rescinded.
Now comes this perplexing story about a former Ducks player. Weird.

I was over here looking for Gary Fouse's bitter denunciation of Glenn Beck's anti-Semitism. Rabbis are asking Rupert Murdoch to fire him, or at least impose some sort of consequences. What did he say? I don't know, I don't pay any attention to Beck. But when its news that rabbis are mad at Glenn Beck, a friend of Jews and Israel like Gary Fouse must have some strong words to offer.
I am unaware of Glenn Beck being an anti-Semite.
