Fousesquawk Voter Guide for California

For what it's worth to my California readers, here are my recommendations for California candidates and ballot issues. (Don't forget to go home and take a long shower after voting.)
Governor-Meg Whitman over Jerry Brown
(Jerry Brown again? We saw what he was like as governor a quarter century ago.)

Lt Governor- Abel Maldonado over Gavin Newsom (Two bums. Hold your nose when you pull the lever.)

US Senator- Carli Fiorina over Barbara ("Call me Senator") Boxer. (Boxer-28 years in Congress with no legislative achievements and nothing but partisan bickering.)

US Congress (Newport Beach/Irvine)- John Campbell over Beth Krom

US Congress- Beverly Hills- Chuck Wilkerson over "Handsome Henry" Waxman

Attorney General- Steve Cooley over ultra liberal Kamala Harris. Cooley is a respected DA in LA. As DA in SF, Harris refused to seek the death penalty even for cop-killers. She participated in the sanctuary city policy of SF and will do nothing as AG outside of looking for "corporate polluters" to sue.

Insurance Commissioner- Mike Villines (R) vs Dave Jones (D). Hold your nose and skip this choice. Neither of them deserve a vote.

Ballot Measures. Let's make it easy; vote "No" on everything but propositions 20, 23 and 26. Prop 23 is especially important since it would suspend the draconian state Global Warming Act until unemployment drops to 5.5% for a full year. Once the crazy Global Warming Act is implemented, watch those gas prices and utility rates skyrocket-to "save the planet".

A couple of final notes; when you hear these incessant ads that talk about the "Special Interests", who do you think they are talking about? If your liberal minds jump to Big Oil, Big Tobacco, Big Pharmaceuticals, Wall Street etc, do you ever consider that Big Unions, liberal advocacy groups and environmental groups  are Special Interests too?

Uhhhh, yeaaaah."

And what about those claims that "police, firefighters, teachers and pro wrestlers all support Jake Snake or proposition whatever"? Do you really think that ALL police, firefighters, teachers and pro wrestlers support Jake Snake or Prop whatever- or is it their UNIONS?

And what about those "committees to create a perfect world"? How long do you think they have been in existence- 4 days?

And if you wonder, as I do, how these ads continue to convince folks and why more people don't do a little critical thinking...........

join the club.

Final comment: For God's sake vote! The Dems can only steal it if it's close.

Turn out all the millionaires! Sorry Meg, $150 million down the tubes, and nothing to show for it. Ditto for Fiorina, McMahon and Johnson. And at the opposite extreme, who could forget Christine "I am not a witch" O'Donnell, who runs because that is her primary source of income (and that's from a Delaware REPUBLICAN source). What a circus!

Man...I was just reading about this particular talking point. You guys are so convinced that this is going to happen - just like how Al Franken stole the election. Oh, wait...that's right, he didn't.

But hey, an accusation is just as good as proof, right?

Have you heard about the truckloads of preprinted ballots the Republicans were driving across country to Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky? They stormed into polling places and stuffed vote counting machines and look what happens! There were videos all over U-Tube, but Karl Rove called on his Chinese masters to turn the cyber warriors use, and they were all zapped.
