Quote of the Day From Harry Reid

Hat tip to Hot Air

Asked by CBN's David Brody:
Q." Can you think of a greatest living American?"

Reid: "I’m glad I had the opportunity to know Ted Kennedy. Whether you agreed with him or not, what a life he led with his two brothers being assassinated, his other brother being killed in World War II. And Robert Byrd, who just died. What a, what a — he was in the Congress of the United States for more than 25% of the time that we have been a country. That’s fairly remarkable."

Here's my question: What do Ted "Chappaquidick" Kennedy and Robert "KKK" Byrd have in common?

Neither is living.

Thank God Reid wasn't asked to name any great dead Americans. He could have answered -himself.

Or greatest living Frenchman:

John Kerry?

This guy should have had a challenge in the Democratic primary for sure. In a modest sort of way, some of my neighbors pulled off the sort of coup that should have happened in Nevada: challenging an incumbent Democrat for not doing enough for mass transit, and winning a resounding victory in the primary.

Only Sharon Angle could make it possible for this cadaver to get six more years. Perhaps he will at least be dumped as majority leader once he takes his seat. There are many Democrats who could better fill the role.
