Our number one story. Pay to spray, just a preview of what would come in a kind of a la carte government. In a moment, the man victimized by this policy, where its already in effect, will speak out."
Yes, Keith, that's what we all want to see in America; a man loses his house to a fire because he hasn't paid a fee and the fire department stands by and watches the home burn down. That's our vision for America, Keith.
Hey Keith, I got a friend whose wife knows a guy who heard in a bar that George Bush was seen running from the scene with a torch in his hand. That should make a great story for your show. Or maybe you can do one of your 20 minute commentaries explaining to us what this incident has to do with the Tea Party.
Here's one for you, Keith; a truck runs off a bridge and lands in the Mississippi River-right on top of a steamboat and everybody drowns. That's another example of what the Tea Party envisions for America. Certainly, any fool can see the connection, right Keith? What's more, I heard that the truck was registered to some guy named Richard. (Dragnet music, please).
Could have been Richard Nixon, right?. Konnect the dots, Keith. You're a journalist.

You really didn't follow the reasoning Gary? If we shrink government so small that we can drown it in a bathtub, then anyone who wants to have fire protection will have to subscribe on an individual basis to secure it, duh?
You might find that a good plan, but be honest about it. Either there are some functions we pay taxes for, or there aren't. If fire protection isn't one of them, not much else would qualify.
Perhaps anyone who wants police services should pay for "protection"? The Mafia started that way - only when government services were available did they turn to inventing new reasons people need protection, like "We'll start the fire if you don't pay us."

Police and fire protection fall into the category of one of govt's true responsibilites.
Ah, now apply that to the situation where the fire department is supported by fees, and a family's home is allowed to burn down because they didn't pay the fee.
You are too eager to knock down Olberman at any opportunity, and forget to check the situation under discussion against the bedrock principles you will adhere to when pressed.

I am not defending the fire dept. They should have put out the fire. Would a cop let someone be shot because he had not paid a fee to the PD?
My whole point is that Olbermann takes this incident and links it to the tea party. Absurd.
