Well, not quite, but you get the idea. Like a parachutist landing in a tree, Krazy Keith Olbermann has jumped right in the middle of the Shirley Sherrod controversy with another unhinged rant on MSNBC in which he first compares Sherrod to Alfred Dreyfus, a laughable proposition to begin with, then proceeds to hysterically indict everybody-with special emphasis on Fox News and Andrew Breitbart in similar fashion. Here it is. Enjoy.
Rather than engage in satire, I'll let Glenn Beck do it. He's much better.
On a more serious note, why did Olbermann single out White House Deputy Chief of Staff James Messina for criticism? Did he play a role in this affair?
In addition, according to Olbermann, ("scum") Breitbart is guilty of doctering that tape. Talk about Alfred Dreyfus! That has not yet been proved, Mr Olbermann. Keith also neglects the fact that Sherrod had already resigned by the time Fox was reporting the incident. No matter. Olbermann proceeds to condemn Roger Ailes, Rupert Murdoch and Murdoch's son for good measure.
But in summary, if there has ever been a news commentator who has convicted people, it is Keith Olbermann. This studio version William Jennings Bryan does it night in and night out. Now he is calling the kettle black.
