Cubs Lose! Cubs Lose! Holy Sh--!
"Ain't my f-----fault! Soto's the f-----guy!"
Check out the gal in the first row who thinks the game is over.
(Hat tip to Bleed Cubbie Blue)
Yes, folks, Destiny's Darlings, the Waveland Street Champs aka Chicago Cubs blew another one yesterday in classic Cubs fashion. Leading 1-0 going into the top of the ninth, the Cubs brought in ace closer Carlos Marmol to save the game for starter Randy Wells, who had thrown 7 shut-out innings against the national league champs, the Philadelphia Phillies.
Alas, it was not to be. With two out, Marmol gave a up a single, but it looked like the tying runner was going to be thrown out at the plate by 10 feet-except catcher Geovani Soto dropped the ball as the famous ivy literally died on the vines.
Can't make this stuff up, folks.
Before it was over, Marmol had walked 5 batters, thrown a wild pitch, and given up 4 runs as Cub manager Lou Piniella watched helplessly from the dugout.
But there is good news, Cub fans; Carlos Zambrano (Big Z) will be back next week.

Obama is a White Sox fan.
Figures.
But Michelle, I've heard, roots for the Cubs.
So did Hillary-until she "moved" to New York and became a life-long Yankee fan.
I saw that game. It was heartbreaking.
For the record:
Obama is a fair-weather fan. He can't identify the players, the best games, team history, etc... Probably said Sox to intergrate himself with white people.
Findalis,
The problem is obvious. It's the curse of the billy goat. Laugh if you want, but do you have a better explanation?
I don't pay a lot of attention to players or plays either... I just look up now and then to see if the Cubs are winning.
I'm consistent though. I'll always be a Cubs fan, and I'll vote to re-elect President Obama in 2012.
I hope for Feingold in 2016. It'll be about time for a white male, then we can try a Hispanic woman.
